On January 16, 2024, Jacob Foan stopped by BBC ONE studios to discuss the feature film ‘Pyjama Man’.

BIOGRAPHY

After completing his MA at Goldsmith’s, London, Jacob Foan wrote, starred and bankrolled the musical film ‘Don’t Let Go’. Jacob played Tom, a young man in a wheelchair struggling to tell the woman he loves how he feels. It was a gamble that paid off and led to breaks in North America.

In Los Angeles, Jacob won a TV talent contest from over 30,000 worldwide applicants. Jacob was scouted by Walter Afanasieff, writer of Mariah Carey’s hits ‘Hero’, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, and producer of Celine Dion’s Oscar winning song ‘My Heart Will Go On’. Filmed over 6 weeks, the show is coming soon to a streaming platform.

Jacob’s acting work includes ‘The Butterfly Effect’, ‘Written In Blood’ and ‘Tropikos’, as well as his comic turn in ABC/Disney’s hit TV show, ‘Galavant’.

After four years in Vancouver and LA, Jacob returned to the UK in 2023, after voicing the Amazon audible audiobook ‘Presence’.

Shortly after arriving in the UK Jacob began work on a new romantic drama feature called ‘Pyjama Man’. Jacob will play the lead role of a washed-up pop star who reluctantly takes a job at a homeless shelter.

“You can hear the passion and the compassion in his voice … by far the most genius thing I’ve heard in years.”

but it’s one that fits Foan’s wheelhouse.
A soaring, emotional tenor.”
